Morgan Wallen Reminisces On His First Eric Church Concert
Morgan Wallen, along with Ernest, recently opened up for Eric Chruch's One Hell of a Night show at U.S. Bank Stadium. The news of this concert lineup was first hinted at on social media when Church and Wallen began tagging each other in social media posts, reminiscing the last time they were on stage together. Next thing you know, they are announcing a stadium show in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Truly a dream lineup if you ask me.
On Saturday night, Eric Church hit the stage performing to a sold-out crowd. Even for Morgan Wallen's portion of the show, the stadium was nearly filled out, which rarely happens for an opener. After the show, Morgan Wallen posted a heartfelt message on his social media reflecting on the first time he saw Church in concert and now getting the opportunity to play alongside him.
Wallen writes:
"8 years ago I went to my first concert. It was an Eric Church concert at Thompson Boling Arena. His energy and his fans energy put a fire in me that night in Knoxville, Tn. I knew right then I wanted to create something as real and genuine as what I witnessed with him his fans.
Fast forward 8 years, E is a near and dear friend to me, and I got to share the stage with him last night. I like to think maybe some of those same people in Thompson Boling Arena with me in 2014, were in US Bank Stadium with me last night as well.
Moments like these make me truly grateful for this life and for this music I get to make and perform everywhere.
Thank you guys for making it possible."

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have been building one hell of a friendship since quarantine. In fact, Church has always been an inspiration to Wallen, but he has also become a pretty great mentor, helping Morgan through his incident. The two have been seen fishing, golfing, singing with guitars, and even bringing each other on stage as special guests during their live performances. Church even co-wrote "Quittin' Time," a song off of Morgan Wallen's Dangerous: The Double Album. Without a doubt hoping that one day these two get to write some songs together and even more so that they end up releasing a collaboration. Just imagine "The Cheif and The Mullet."
